Creating Brighter Futures at Blend: Our Impact in 2024–2025

We are proud to share the latest Valley CiDS Impact Report for 2024–2025, which captures the positive difference being made through Blend Youth Project, transforming lives across local communities in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

At Blend, we are focused on supporting young people by creating safe spaces where they can build friendships, develop new skills, achieve educationally, and access community-based support and signposting services.  Over the past year, Blend Youth Project has continued to grow, reaching more young people, developing new provision, and helping them to enhance their life chances.

The Impact Report highlights how Blend has supported young people through street-based and centre-based youth work, school wellbeing programmes, mentoring, and alternative education provision. It shares real stories of young people who have re-engaged with learning, developed life skills, strengthened their emotional wellbeing and taken positive steps forward in their lives.  It also reflects how young people help shape Blend’s services, ensuring their voices influence the development of our work.

This year’s report also reflects on 25 years of Valley CiDS, recognising how Blend has become a vital part of that story. Alongside celebrating achievements, the report looks ahead to the future, including the continued development of Blend’s work and the long-term vision for Turner Farm through the ‘Big Build Project’.

We invite you to read the full Valley CiDS Impact Report to explore the wider context of this work and see how Blend sits within the charity’s broader mission. Within its pages, you will find powerful stories, meaningful outcomes and a clear picture of how young people’s lives are being changed through relational, needs-led support.

Together, through Blend, we are helping young people feel safe, heard and supported, and empowering them to realise their full potential.
