Residential & Trips

Our trips and residential programmes provide powerful opportunities for young people to step outside of their everyday routines, experience new environments and build deeper relationships with peers and youth workers.

Whether it is a day trip, an outdoor adventure experience, a cultural visit or a multi-day residential, these opportunities are designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and create lasting memories. For many young people, these experiences are the first time they have travelled outside their local area, stayed away from home or tried new and challenging activities.

Residentials are often high-impact moments in a young person’s journey. By removing the distractions and pressures of daily life, we create space for reflection, team-building and personal growth. Each residential is typically built around an overarching theme and delivered through a varied programme of:

  • Outdoor and physical challenges
  • Creative and team-based activities
  • Structured discussions and reflection sessions
  • Confidence-building experiences
  • Leadership and responsibility opportunities

Trips and residentials promote independence, resilience, communication skills and a stronger sense of belonging. They also allow young people to see themselves differently — often discovering strengths and capabilities they did not previously recognise.

We are committed to ensuring that financial circumstances do not become a barrier to participation. We work hard to keep costs affordable and can provide support with clothing or essential items where needed, ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to take part.
